Plumbing (Originating from the Latin plumbum for lead as pipes at one point in time were made from the metal lead) is the skilled trade of working with tubing, pipes and plumbing fixtures for drainage of waste systems and the drinking water. The plumbing industry is a simple and substantial pieceof every progressive economy due to the need for clean water, and proper collection and transport of wastes. A plumber is someone who installs or repairs plumbing fixtures, piping systemsand equipment such as water heaters.
Plumbing is usually distinguished from water and sewage systems, in that a plumbing system assists one building, while water and sewage systems serve a group of structures or a city. Plumbing also relates to a complex of channels and fixtures installed in a building for the distribution of potable water and the removal of waterborne wastes.
