Dishwashers are expected to present in each household in the years to come, and by then, it would be considered a necessity. When it comes to maintaining this household appliance, there are two common issues: failure to function and drainage problems.
Failure to function is when the dishwasher doesn’t do what it’s meant to do, even when you’ve turned it on. Of course, when this happens, the first thing that you should do is to make sure your appliance is plugged. If it¡¯s plugged, you might want to check the circuit breaker box in your home. If the circuit beaker for your dishwasher is in the center, it is off. If the breaker is in top or on position, check the switches of the dishwasher itself. On a typical dishwasher, you will find a switch for turning it on, a switch for several functions, and a switch for the timer. If any of them need replacement, buy replacement parts immediately. If switches are not the problem, then you may need to look inside the appliance.
Drainage problems are another common complaint against dishwashers. One of the first areas you should be looking at is the air gap, typically located near the faucet as an attachment. Food particles may have blocked this area thus complicating the entire drainage system altogether.
The next thing you need to check is the draining hose that runs from the unit into your sewage. Check this area for any sign obstructions. Like cars, many dishwashing units have a belt attached to a pump that induces drainage. Inspect this belt to determine if it’s broken or damaged. If it is, replace the belt and test the dishwasher to see if it works. If neither drainage nor electricity seems to be the problem, check the following dishwasher parts for possible repair.
Dishwasher drains
The drain hose is important for draining water from the dishwasher to the designated area for draining water. Uninstalling and reinstalling the drain hose is quite simple and the drain hose itself can typically be bought inexpensively.
Air Gap

Pump Assembly
The pump assembly includes a pulley system attached to a pumping unit that is in control of water flower inside the dishwasher.
Heating Element
The heating element is built into the dishwasher to warm the water. It is required to clean the dishwasher.
